
Cirebon is one of the cities in West Java province located on the north coast of Java Island. The area of Cirebon is directly adjacent to Brebes region in Central Java province.
This city is a part of the pantura path (north coast path) connecting Jakarta-Cirebon-Semarang-Surabaya.
The distance from Jakarta is about 260 km with normal travel time between 3-4 hours by car through Cipali toll road. While from Bandung, Cirebon is about 130 Km.
Cirebon is known as a Shrimp City (Kota Udang) because it is a center of production and trading of marine products, especially shrimp and rebon (small shrimp), and processed products such as krupuk udang (shrimp crackers) and terasi (shrimp paste).

Cirebon is a cultural meeting area between the Tribe of Java, Sundanese, Arab, Chinese and migrants from Europe since several centuries ago.

Cirebon has many interesting sights you can visit, such as Keraton Kasepuhan, Keraton Kanoman, Keraton Kacirebonan, Cirebon Great Mosque, At-Taqwa Great Mosque, and Sunyaragi Cave.


For those who love batik, then Trusmi batik center is the right location to shop. It is located in Plered area, about 4 km from downtown Cirebon. The most famous batik motif in Cirebon is Megamendung which is patterned like a collection of clouds.

Cirebon also has a culinary tour that is very tempting, namely Nasi Jamblang, Empal Gentong, and Tahu Gejrot.
