Garden in Córdoba

Cordoba in Spain is a charming Andalusian city, with many interesting monuments to visit. It is located north of the old city, roughly the area around Plaza de las Tendillas and Avenida de America.

Cordoba is a cultural destination in Europe that is very interesting and has been declared a World Heritage Site. The historic part of Cordoba is a beautiful network of small streets, alleys, squares and whitewashed courtyards arranged around the Mezquita, which reflects the city’s prominent place in the Islamic world during medieval times.

Cordoba presents a wide variety of art, culture and entertainment, as well as many cultural events held annually, such as the Flamenco Festival, music concerts, ballet, and more. All points of interest to visit during Cordoba can be reached on foot (except Medina Azahara) by relying on tourist maps that can be obtained from tourist information centers.

One of the many areas to visit is the Old city buildings around the Mezquita, where there are many amazing and unique old neighbourhoods everywhere. The Old City is a tangle of medieval-style streets roughly bounded by the Guadalquivir River on the south, the area surrounding Plaza de las Tendillas on the north and the tree-lined Paseo de la Victoria on the west.
