Xelexi.com – Córdoba is a charming Andalusian city, with many interesting monuments to visit. It is located north of the old city, roughly the area around Plaza de las Tendillas and Avenida de America.

Córdoba is a cultural destination in Europe that is very interesting and has been declared a World Heritage Site. The historic part of Córdoba is a beautiful network of small streets, alleys, squares and whitewashed courtyards arranged around the Mezquita, which reflects the city’s prominent place in the Islamic world during medieval times.

Córdoba presents a wide variety of art, culture and entertainment, as well as many cultural events held annually, such as the Flamenco Festival, music concerts, ballet, and more. All points of interest to visit during Córdoba can be reached on foot (except Medina Azahara) by relying on tourist maps that can be obtained from tourist information centers.
